Ref: 1055 Shell Seekers
BEADNELL Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles. This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a 'smugglers' haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop and two pubs which serve food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket, restaurants etc as well as offering boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle & Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away. The Property: Shell Seekers Something a bit special! Jun 2007 | The property was in an excellent location for relaxing. The view from the lounge window changed minute by minute as the tide ebbed & flowed & sea-birds of all descriptions flew by - just indescribable. We would definitely visit again.

Jun 2006 | Shell Seekers is a lovely holiday property with an excellent position overlooking the sea. The property is well maintained and equipped. This was our second visit, and our third is already booked for this summer! The property has a very welcoming feel. The provision of Sky is a definite plus in its favour, and a factor in our decision to stay there - you never know what the weather will be like and Sky is a good safety net for when it is very bad. This was another holiday that we have thoroughly enjoyed at Shell Seekers. Thank you.
